Target Haul!

Hey Everyone! So I know I was supposed to do my makeup I have been loving, but I totally forgot to take a picture of my makeup, so I’d thought I’d do a target hall. I am very proud of myself, because I actually just got all the products I have been looking for. You all know how it can be, you go in for one thing and come out with 50 ha ha. So I have two Holy Grail and one new product. So if you have curly hair you might be interested.

DUO Eyelash Adhesive:

Price: $4.19 but prices do vary

So I got this stuff because I have used it before and liked it, honestly I am not a false eyelash person, but I’d be able to wear them for special occassions or if I go out, so I have been practicing, and I have been getting better!

*Camilla Rose Moisture Milk:

Price: 14.99 but I got it on sell today for 13 something

All of her products smell good, sweet but not overly sweet, which is nice because I am not a fan of. I am excited to try this because I have purched the OYIN hair milk 2x and loved it, but I wanted to try something new. So i’ll keep you all updated on how this works.

Camilla Rose Algae Deep Conditioner:

Price:19.99 but I got it on sell for $17.99

So I LOVE this stuff and haved purchases it several times, it rich, lasts for about a month to six weeks (I use a lot of conditioner) and use it about once or twice a week, and sometimes I add olive oil to it, if my hair is super dry. So yes  yes this stuff is expensive, and yes there are other deep conditioners, but this is a love affair that won’t break, For my fine strand, dry tightly coiled hair, this stuff is the I have tried others but I always come back.

Here is a picture of the two hair products and you can see how thick the conditoner is? It’s the one on the left.IMG_3696

Well that is all for now, do you have any new Target products you have been loving? Let me know if you like a more extensive hair products list or hair routine.

Thanks for reading, and have an awesome day!

Easy and fast Hair style: Braided Perm Rod set

Hey Ya’ll so I was browsing YouTube for new hair styles to try, and I got inspired by videos on the flexi-rod braid out, so I decided to try the look. So I tried it and while I did like it, I didn’t like how it shrunk my hair up. The flexi-rods are longer than my hair, so I had to wrap it around the braid, instead or just wrapping it around the end, like you can do if your hair is longer. So I decided to use perm rods instead, they are smaller, so I can just wrap them around the ends of my hair.

Products: Perm Rods, Hair Rules leave in (trying to use it up) Naptural85’s oil, Denman Brush, and Ecostyler Gel (the clear one).

Here is the Oil Recipe:

Step One: I did this style on stretched old hair. I took sections of medium sizes, braided it halfway down, then wrapped the  part that’s not braided around the perm rod.

Step Two: I then put on my silk bonnet, went to bed and woke up and removed the perm rods and took the braids out from my hair.

Step Three: I added avocado oil to my hands, to help cut down on frizz, as I took the braids out from my hair, this is right after I took my hair down.

Step Fours: After Lots of rubbing with the balls of my fingers and using the pick at my scalp, this was the end style and I loved it.

Lets Talk Leave-In

Hey guys, today  I am talking about leave-in conditioner. It is a battle that many of women (and man?) have started in order to find the perfect one, that leaves your hair moisturized, and soft. With so many of them on the market it can be hard and frustrating (I know from experience), and i still have not found my perfect one yet. But here are some i am using that are just sufficing for now, and some that i love!

*No product pictures are mine

1. The datangler: First off this product smell delicious, so fruity and light, and i love the fact that it that the smell stays in your hair. This stuff detangles my hair like no other that i have ever tried, this is why i love it for wash and goes. It makes my curls pop and stayed popped ha ha.

Cons: This does nothing for moisture, this is why i am looking for something else, BUT i am getting over my product junkyism, so it might be awhile, unless i really trust the product to be awesome

Price: 11:99 for 8 oz, i think that’s reasonable as it lasts me forever, but i also don’t do wash and go’s all the time

2. The when i don’t care about defined, or super moisture ha ha: Okay so this product is just eh to me. The smell, how it works all of it. I am using this too use it up basically. I love that it is light and creamy and doesn’t weigh my hair down though. I use this more when i want to do  up do hair styles or i don’t need super moisture. I love this though for re-moisture, i add this, grape seed oil, and water to a spray bottle to re moisture in the morning and night.

Cons: doesn’t work for what i want it to in my hair, and smell

Price: $14.99 8 oz, too expensive in my opinion, i won’t be repurchasing

3.Unyevu (oon-yay-vu) Butter: I love this so much, i have had it for about a week and it is awesome. I definitely want to try more things from belle butters. Unyevu is made up of butters and oils; Shea butter, avocado butter, mango butter, etc. I makes my hair so moisturized, soft, and shiny, i love it, this had definitely become a staple.

Cons: The smell is not my cup of tea, it smells too musky, but i actually like it once it is in my hair

Price: $14.00 for 4 oz, so definitely pricey in my book, but i really love it, so will repurchase a bigger size

Here are the products on my hand so you can see the consistency:

Image1. hair rules 2. Knot Today 3. Unyevu Butter

So even though i have found products that work two could be better, so i am still on the look out. But my suggestion is especially for winter go with a butter  they are easy, last a long time, and you can make them yourself, There are so many; Shea, Avocado, Mango, to name a few, that you’re bound to find one that works.

Have you found your holy grail leave-in, if so what is it? Thanks for reading!!

Sunday Hair Routine

Hey guys! So i am writing today to tell you about my Sunday hair routine and some of my favorite products. Having Kinky-Curly hair, I like to deep condition once a week (sometimes my laziness get in the way though ;)) and wash my hair once a week. I used to use shampoo every week, but now i use a cleansing conditioner, it gets my hair clean without stripping it. Image

This is the AS I Am cleansing coconut co wash, i love this stuff, as you can see from the picture is a creamy product but the consistency is thin, which is great for cleansing. I like this because it gets my hair clean, detangles my hair while cleansing, and doesn’t strip my hair. Please be sure to condition afterwards because it is a cleanser and doesn’t t give you that much moisture. Also when i cleanse my hair i mostly just focus on the scalp.

Price: $7.99-$9.99 for 16 oz, great deal and i have had this same tub for a few months

Cons: The packaging is terrible for the shower, many times have a spilled this and got water inside the tub, grrr.

After i cleanse m hair i wrap it up in an microfiber towel, so the deep conditioner can penetrate better, and also because i just don’t like water dripping down my neck. I keep the towel on for about five minutes. 1st panel

Next i put on my deep conditioner, i usually use different combinations, but i  always like to use  honey and extra virgin olive oil, i love these two, they make my hair so soft, moisturized and shiny. This time i used two things i have never used before Alma Power and Brahmi Powder.

  • Alma powder has many benefits especially for curly hair, add texture, volume, wave curl, adds shine, promotes hair growth, tightens up coils/curls and thicker stronger hair strands
  •  Brahmi Powder Strengthens the roots of your hair makes the hair denser, long, shiny, and dark toned, controls dandruff reduces the amount of hair loss, treats eczema and psoriasis.

Now i don’t know if i believe all these claims but wanted to try them out. Here is my mixture. 2nd panel with it on.

Yeah, Yeah, it looks…interesting , okay, okay it looks gross i know, but beauty isn’t always pretty, ha ha.ImageSo here it what i added the measurements aren’t exact.

  • 2 tablespoons Amla Powder
  • 1 Tablespoon Brahmi Powder
  • 1 Tablespoon of Organic Raw Honey (shine and moisture)
  • 1 1/2 Tablespoons of Raw Organic Apple Cider vinegar (shine and clarifying)
  • 1 Tablespoon of Extra Virgin Olive Oil (moisture)

Then i just mixed it all together and applied it to my hair in section, detangling  as i went along. I put on a plastic cap 3rd panel and left it on for about an hour. the washed it out.

Results: ImageI was left with shiny moisturized hair, i really liked this combination, i felt the Alma powder helped form my curls, and the Brahmi powder helped my scalp, since i suffer a bit from dandruff.

Pro: Shiny hair, cleansed scalp

Cons: Combo not as moisturizing as others, and the smell of all the ingredients wasn’t that great,

All in all i would purchase the Alma Powder again but not sure about the Brahmi powder. But i love that this deep conditioner was all natural, and i can make it at home.

What is your favorite shampoo and conditioner, and do you have a hair routine?
